Applicants must be members in one or more of AIP Member Societies at the time of application; must be U.S. citizens; must have a PhD in physics or closely-related field prior to start of Fellowship term; must have an interest or experience in applying scientific knowledge to the solution of societal problems; must have excellent scientific credentials, outstanding interpersonal and communications skills and sound judgment and maturity in decision-making.
