Purpose
To support the development of individual Alberta artists, arts administrators or an ensemble of artist by providing a grant for a specific theatre and/or performance art project in a limited time period.
Focus -
Performing arts; Theater arts.
Qualifications -
Applicants must be Canadian citizens; have had your primary residence in Alberta for one full year before applying; ordinarily, live in Alberta for at least six months each year with the exception of attending a formal program of study.

To Apply
Applicants may submit only one application to the AFA each deadline across all disciplines; applicant information: Legal name and confirmation of your status (minor or Albertan); the application category (art production, marketing, research, or training or career development) and applicant status (individual, ensemble); a brief project description (20 words) and project start and end dates; applicants should submit music-related activities, which may include: past training, most recent performances and performance highlights, compositions, discography, or ensemble experience; two musical selections such as a scratch demo from the proposed project, or high-quality demo; all video and audio files must be Windows compatible; wherever possible, support material should be uploaded as an attachment into GATE (up to 4 MB); a secondary budget outlining the applicant's ability to fund manufacturing expenses (CD pressing and artwork) (for art production projects).
