Alaska Performance Scholarship (APS)
The Alaska Performance Scholarship provides an opportunity for Alaska high school students to earn a scholarship to help cover an Alaska postsecondary education. Alaska high school students who take a more rigorous curriculum, get good grades, score well on college placement or work-ready exams can earn an Alaska Performance Scholarship to qualified Alaska colleges, universities, or vocational/technical programs. Students must take the SAT and complete the FASFA.
Scholarship awards received are based on the following three levels depending on GPA, SAT scores, and high school curriculum.
Level 1
up to $4,700+ per year
- High School GPA 3.5
- ACT 25 or SAT 1210
- Specified high school curriculum
Level 2
up to $3,500+ per year
- High School GPA 3.0
- ACT 23 or SAT 1130
- Specified high school curriculum
Level 3
up to $2,300+ per year
- High School GPA 2.5
- ACT 21 or SAT 1060
- Specified high school curriculum
