Purpose
To assist surgeons in establishing a new and independent research program.
Focus -
Plastic surgery.
Qualifications -
Applicants must be plastic and reconstructive surgeons who have: completed the chief residency year within the preceding five years; and received a full-time faculty appointment in a department of surgery/plastic surgery at a medical school accredited by the Liaison Committee on Graduate Medical Education in the United States or by the Committee for Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools in Canada.
Criteria
Applicants who are not current recipients of major research grants are given preference.

Applicants must complete application online; must submit the research plan and budget; and supporting letters from the Chair of the Department/Division of Plastic Surgery.
