Purpose
To encourage a higher standard of professional training in Arkansas libraries.
Focus -
Library and archival sciences.
Qualifications -
Applicant must hold or be completing work toward a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and must not currently hold a master's degree in library science; applicant must be currently accepted and enrolled in a program leading to a master's degree in library science; applicant may be currently employed in a library in Arkansas provided all other conditions are met.
Criteria
Selection shall be based on applicant's interest in librarianship as a profession, academic record and compliance with application requirements.

Applicants must submit a completed application form together with an official graduate transcript or proof of enrollment; letter of application; resume; and three letters of reference from individuals qualified to address the academic and professional potential of the applicant.
