Applicants must be entering freshmen in a Texas college or university; must major in a music degree program leading to Texas teacher-certification with music as the primary teaching field.

To Apply
Applicants must submit: completed application form; a high school transcript; a one-to-two page essay that describes their reasons for becoming a teacher, commitment to music education and future career goals; three-to-five evaluations from individuals who can assess the applicant's potential for success in an undergraduate music education program and as a music educator, music skills and abilities, work ethic and other personal qualities; must submit a verification from student's advisor that the applicants will teach within the semester indicated on the application.
