Purpose
To promote and support the work of outstanding early career diversity scholars.
Focus -
Area and ethnic studies.
Qualifications -
Applicants must be early career scholars in African, African American, or African Diaspora studies whose research/scholarship focuses on racism, racial equity, and/or racial justice; must have a PhD in hand from an institution other than the University of Michigan and be no more than seven years beyond the completion of their degree.
Amount -
$55,000
Award Duration -
Annual.

Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae, research proposal, teaching statement, personal statement and diversity commitment, writing sample (max 30 pages, double-spaced), and at least three references.
