Purpose
To assist students who are first responders or family members of first responders.

Emergency and disaster services.
Qualifications -
Applicant must be a student in the U.S. and be enrolled in a college, university, graduate school, or law school (can also be a GED holder planning to attend college in the upcoming semester. Applicant should be in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Applicant must submit a current resume, school transcript, and an essay of 500-1,000 words discussing the role of first responders in today’s society and how their roles contribute to public safety. Applicants should consider: How has your experience with a first responder, as a first responder, or as a family member of a first responder shaped your life? What can be done to assist the difficult job of first responders?
