Purpose
To encourage a deserving nurse to go into advanced practice nursing either to become a nurse practitioner or a nurse anesthetist.
Focus -
Anesthesiology; Nursing.
Qualifications -
Applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States who has completed an ACEN or CCNE accredited BSN or MSN degree program with a cumulative 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale; must be holding an active RN license; must be enrolled full-time or part-time in one of the following academic disciplines: ACEN or CCNE accredited Nurse Practitioner program at either the MSN or DNP degree level, or COA accredited Nurse Anesthesia program at either the MSN or DNP degree level.
Criteria
The scholarship committee will review all applications received and elect the winner through a competitive and nondiscriminatory process. Applicants will be judged on the following: essay, academic performance, personal and professional goals statement, letter of recommendation, and resume/CV.
