Purpose
To provide financial assistance to qualified first-year medical students residing in Berks, Lehigh, or Northampton County.
Focus -
Medicine.
Qualifications -
Applicant must be a United States citizen; a resident of Lehigh, Berks, or Northampton County in the state of Pennsylvania for at least 12 months prior to registering as a medical student; entering first year of a full-time program at an accredited United States medical school.

Selection will be evaluated based on financial need.

Applicants must submit a completed application form; two reference letters documenting the applicants' integrity, interpersonal skills and potential as future physicians (letters must come from persons who know the applicants well but are not family members); a letter, on school letterhead, from their medical school verifying that they are enrolled full-time at that institution and first-year medical student; one-page, typed essay specifically describing why they chose to become physicians and what contributions they expect to make to the health profession.
