Purpose
To increase the breadth and depth of the mathematics content knowledge of one elementary school teacher who has a demonstrated commitment to mathematics teaching and learning.
Focus -
Mathematics and mathematical sciences.
Qualifications -
Applicants must have the support of the school principal in becoming mathematics teacher-leaders within their respective schools or districts; be current full individuals or E-member of NCTM; and, be full-time elementary school teachers with at least three years of experience; having mathematics as their regular teaching responsibility.
Criteria
Selection shall be based on the aforementioned qualifications and compliance with the application details.

1 or 2.
To Apply
Applicants must submit a proposal; must be completed and serve as the top page of each copy of the proposal; must be typewritten, double-spaced and single-sided (please organize as outlined below), with margins of at least one inch on 8.5" x 11" paper and font size must be no smaller than 10-point, and width between characters should be normal (100%); five copies (one original and four copies) of the proposal should be included in a single packet addressed to the Mathematics Education Trust; and a principal's letter of support.
