Purpose
To assist individuals doing post-doctoral research.

Qualifications -
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in pharmaceutics or a related discipline from an accredited U.S. university or expect to receive such a degree before activating the award; should indicate strong determination to continue research careers in pharmaceutics following completion of the fellowship; must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents; The awards support candidates proposing to gain new skills in relevant areas. Postdoctoral applicants should be within their first two years of postdoctoral studies at the time the award begins. Applications requesting funds to continue an existing postdoctoral program beyond a 4th year will not be considered.

Applicants should include general registration information; curriculum vitae or bio sketch; extended letter; thesis project description; a titled abstract of approximately 200 words concerning proposed research plan; official transcripts; thesis advisor information and letter of reference; reference letter from an individual other than the thesis advisor, who is knowledgeable about the candidate’s scientific skills, must comment on the candidate’s potential for a career in research.
