Purpose
To recognizes graduate students conducting research related to fatty acids and their derivatives, such as long-chain alcohols, amines and other nitrogen compounds.
Focus -
Chemistry; Science.
Qualifications -
Candidate must be a graduate students attending a North American University (i.e. USA, Canada, Mexico): whose research involves fatty acids, their derivatives, or surfactants, especially surfactants derived from fats and oils. Research categories include synthesis, processing, utilization, or characterization; who have never received the Ralph H. Potts Memorial Fellowship.

Applicants must submit a completed application form; letter of support from the major advisor; major Advisor Ranking Form (.docx) prepared by the major advisor; at least one letter of recommendation from an individual familiar with the candidate's accomplishments; copy of current university/college transcript showing courses and grades; abstract submitted for the current year’s AOCS Annual Meeting.
