Thurgood Marshall College Fund
The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) offers three types of unique merit scholarships, plus need-based, designed to address the financial needs of students attending a Thurgood Marshall College Fund member-school or other accredited college or university. The award process is highly competitive and is given to qualified students who plan to earn a bachelor's, graduate, or law degree.
Scholarship Types Offered:
- Gap Completion Scholarship is designed to close the financial gap for students with urgent financial needs. A graduating senior at risk of not obtaining their degree due to outstanding fees receive first consideration for this scholarship.
- Access Scholarship covers tuition, fees, and room and board for all classifications of students, giving them access to a college education.
- Programmatic Scholarship covers tuition, fees, and on-campus room and board for all classifications of students, giving them access to a college education, as well as support services aimed at strengthening their leadership and professional development.
Eligibility:
- The average award is $3,100 per student per semester.
- Most scholarships are one-year, non-renewable unless otherwise indicated.
- Awards are given without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, disability, or national origin.
